How many choices in my life? I confused.
There is a big change after finishing my school life,
it starts all the nightmare......
To work?
To get married?
To give up work?
To have a child?
To have another?
To go abroad?
To have a company?
What else?
How can I do it all over again myself?

Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890)
-What extraordinary gifts he had!

There were many very famous masterpieces in Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam.
At the end of his story, it was a shock for my little boy while we were visiting.
He shot himself in the chest and two days later died from his wounds.

Why? Mum? Why did he end his life this way?
He is one step to be famous and rich,
nearly there.......nearly.....
and he would never know how the world could be changed because of him..............

I can see a lot of confusion and question marks on his face!
For him, it is too hard to imagine and explain!

He also told me that he had read some famous musicians' stories such as Schubert (1797-1827), Mozart (1756-1791), Chopin (1810-1849), Liszt (1811-1886), Brahms (1833-1897)...........
Most of them didn't live a long life!

Again, he looked doubtful.
How sad, mum!
It is, Mike!
But it is one of the way we learn something.
Just be prepared ,be brave and be optimistic!

Watching the film 'Crouching Tiger, Hiding Dragon'(臥虎藏龍) by Ang Lee,
You would never expect some questions like as follows.
'Mum, I am the Tiger', said Mike.
(He was born in the year of Tiger)
'And, I am the Dragon', said Emmy.
(She was born in year of Dragon)
Oh, no, you know what?
I kept a tiger and a dragon at home. What can I say? What can I ask for more?
A question unexpectedly happened again,
but mum, My teacher is Mrs. Crouch!, said Emmy.
So~~it is Crouching Dragon instead of Tiger...
Does it matter?
Let's check the dictionary!
Crouch: to bend your knees and lower yourself so that you are close to the ground and leaning forward slightly.
Hide: I suppose everybody know what it is.
So~~Why not? 'Can we change them over?', said Emmy.
That is, Crouching Dragon, Hiding Tiger.(臥龍藏虎)
It sounds strange, isn't?
It is another long story though...From an old saying........
Can we change it?
Can we..........
Ask no more, Emmy, this time I will find out the story for you!

Happy Moon Festival to U all!

'What is Moon Festival, mum?'' Why???'
Mm~ it a long story~~ Where to start?
mm~~~it time to have some Moon cakes!
Would you like to have one?
'Have I had that before? I can't remember!'
Yes, of course and you loved it!
'really? '
Those culture things are far too difficult to understand for my kids day by day...
A friend from Taiwan is visiting tomorrow...
So, we are lucky and are going to have some fresh moon cakes soon!
Yummy! yummy?
I don't, personally, enjoy those sweet types very much although their flavor has been improved each year.
However, I do! The traditional savory one with green bean mash and dried pork or egg yolk
stuffed inside.
I wonder, what flavor is coming to us tomorrow?
The Moon in here is not especially round or light as we had experienced 4 times now.
This year, apart from being missing my families and friends, I like to do something different for myself....
So, keep changing...not exactly like the Moon, but hopefully it's a good start!
Happy Moon Festival to U all~~~

Mum, it's coming out!

It's a wonful sunny afternoon while we were doing gardening. Followed by a long winter, the garden needs a lot of work to come back alive. First of all, we have to get rid of weeds of all kinds, which includes anything you don't like.
We enjoyed doing gardening and discovering a lot of slugs and insects hiding under those weeds. I have to say, it was disgusting because you never knew what you were going to adventure!
We found a bit round fat thing hiding in a brick hole. We didn't want to disturb it although it looked a bit strange to us. It also seemed very safe to us so that we decided to leave it and kept enjoying our gardening. Just then, a frightened shout from my little boy, "Mum, it's coming out!". That moment became very scary to me as well. We've never seen such a big slug in our life! What the old round intruder is? Where did it from? We have no idea about it except horror. Quick as fast as we can, we'd tried our very best to put it in a shopping bag and tied a knot. Because of fright, we decided to pack it with another two bags(just in case it is poisonous and might escape from one bag, three should be enough!)and throw it into bin. A rubbish truck will take them away tomorrow morning. Not very long, we felt save to do so.
Just before we went out, Emmy came out from our lounge and asked if she could see the monster. She is so curious and always moan for what she wants to have. Therefore we had to decide to open and show her the ugly monster. As soon as she saw it, she cried out" a snail! Oh, I know, I know, it's a snail that I found its shell the other day. I want to take a picture of it to show dad". She was so excited that Mike and I burst into laugh and felt astonished.
It's a snail without its shell! What are we doing here, Mike? What are we scared of? A monster?
We enjoy this kind of lovely day and will adventure a little bit more in our garden.

Jimin or chewing gum

Today Emmy invited her little friend, Jimin, to her home for tea after school. They played 'baby and mummy' in the garden. After having tea they played computer games and musical statue together. They had so much fun with each other. Jimin supposed to go home about 6:00pm, however, her daddy came to pick her up earlier around 5:30pm because he had to go out later. As soon as the bell rang, it was about time for her to leave with her daddy. Emmy burst into tears at once and cried' Jimin, Jimin, Jimin, ......'. She just couldn't let her dear friend go. As her mum, for several times I tried to comfort her and said, 'Emmy, we can invite her to come again!'............ she still kept crying and crying but finally said' I want chewing gum...'(?) So, Jimin's daddy gave her some and this is the end of the story. (ps. Jimin had a little bit chewing gum in her pocket.) I was just wondering if she wanted Jimin or chewing gum. She told me afterwards that she wanted both.
